I read an interesting article today in the Times- Georgian about new home sales continuing to dip but resales are on the rise.
“The new home market is nearly non-existent in Carroll County, but sales of pre-existing homes is looking up, according to a local real estate official.
This news mirrors a Monday U.S. Department of Commerce report that new home sales fell to a six-month low in August and are on pace for the worst year since the government began keeping records a half century ago.
In Carroll County only 17 building permits for new home construction have been issued so far this year, according to the county’s Codes and Community Development office.”
