(Thomas O’Connor/Times-Georgian)slideshow The Carroll County Board of Commissioners agreed on Wednesday to continue to purchase materials for Fairfield Plantation to help the community repair roads that were damaged by flooding in September of last year.

Because the county can get a much discounted rate for such materials, it was decided to buy the necessary asphalt and other road supplies for Fairfield. The gated subdivision, which contains hundreds of homes off Highway 61 in the Sandhill community, will be required to pay back 100 percent of all funds within 30 days of receiving an invoice from the county.
